Membership of the Small Farm Training Group
Who are our members?
There is no typical member of the SFTG. We are all different!
Some of our members raise chickens, as pets, for eggs or for meat. Some rear cattle or breed pigs, they keep llamas or ducks or geese, rheas or turkeys.
Some have vegetable plots or allotments; some grow wheat. Some use no-dig or no-till methods. Many work to organic standards.
They preserve by brining, pickling, smoking or making jam.
We have rug makers, basket makers, weavers, knitters, bakers and wine / cider makers. All are willing to share their experience.
Whether you tend a couple of window boxes, a garden or some tens of acres we will welcome and support you.
