This is the largest and most popular agricultural show in the south-east of England. There is lots to see for everyone - some come to find out more about agriculture, many just come for the shopping experience! It's a fun day out with lots of animals in the show ring and many events taking place. The SFTG has a stand to promote smallholding and to inform the public about our group. We usually get some new members join at the event.
We will need volunteers to help with this event. You don't have to be an expert in smallholding but you should like talking to people and telling them what a wonderful group we are! It's easy because we have lots of pictures of events that we have run and information sheets for people who need more details about a topic. There are usually 2 or 3 people on the stand at anyone time so usually if you don't know the answer to a question someone else does!
