Learn how to assess whether your sheep are healthy - for example do they have anaemia?
James will show us how to handle sheep for general stock tasks such as foot care and dagging. We will have 18 ewes and 30 lambs to work with, so plenty of practise.
We will discuss and learn when to give wormers and vitamin drenches as well as boluses.
James will also be vaccinating his lambs with Heptavac P.
We will discuss the symptoms of fly strike and how to protect your animals.
Afterwards you may care to join James and Jenny Cloke in the pub for a drink/lunch. We have not booked a table but if you decide to join us bring some money.
