SUMMARY:Marshcroft Goat Dairy - Care of dairy goats
DESCRIPTION: \n\nFun evening introducing care of dairy goats\nJoin the Topping family on their small holding in Hailsham\, to learn about caring for dairy goats on a smallholding.\nThe talk will include dairy goat breeds\, housing\, diet\, general care\, breeding and kidding.\nThere will be opportunity to meet the goats\, including a practical demonstration of milking with a mobile milking machine.\nFinally\, course participants can have a go at milking a goat by hand.\nSamples of the milk and cream cheese plain and flavoured will be available to try and to buy.\nTo enable participants to have sufficient time and supervision while milking a goat\, the group size is to restricted to 5 people.\nThe Topping family started their goat keeping journey by keeping 2 dairy goats to supply them with milk\, yogurt and cheese.\nThey really enjoyed their little adventure and found Goat keeping addictive\, so their herd multiplied and Marshcroft Goat Dairy business were born.\nThey are currently milking 7  goats who all have names and they are a very important part of Topping family.\n \n  \nThis work shop will be running Friday 09.10.2026 17:00-19:00 \nThere will be tea\, coffee and cake included \nTicket price £35
